Sarah Skow Becomes Toledo Women’s Bar Association President

Sarah Skow was sworn in as President of the Toledo Women’s Bar Association at the TWBA Annual Meeting on May 29, 2015 at the Toledo Club. Sarah joined the TWBA in 2005 while a student at the University of Toledo College of Law as a member of the Women’s Law Student Association (“WLSA”). She has been an active member of the TWBA throughout her legal career, and she became a board member in 2006. Sarah has spent the past year as the TWBA’s President-Elect in preparation for her term at the organization’s helm.

Sarah has a diverse litigation practice, primarily in the areas of complex business litigation, professional malpractice defense, tort litigation, civil rights, landlord/tenant, and criminal defense. She assists the Pro Bono Legal Services Program of the Toledo Bar Association and is actively involved with many State and Local Bar Associations and Professional Organizations, including the Supreme Court of Ohio Professionalism Committee, Ohio State Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Advisory Board, Toledo Bar Association Board of Trustees, and Toledo Bar Association Pro Bono Advisory Board. Sarah is also very engaged in the Toledo community and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo (Vice-President), the Children’s Theater Workshop (President), the Toledo Botanical Gardens Arts & Culture Committee, The University of Toledo Law Alumni Association Board of Governors, the ABLE/LAWO Board, and the ABLE/LAWO Emerging Leaders Council (Founding Chair, 2011).
