About Renisa
Renisa primarily practices in Spengler Nathanson’s litigation
department, with an emphasis in the areas of labor/employment law, OSHA,
school law, ERISA/employee benefits, risk management, and tort
liability. She represents a diverse group of clients, including large
manufacturing corporations, large and small non-profits, public
entities, small service businesses, and school districts.
In addition to counseling employers concerning compliance with various laws on a daily basis, Renisa has successfully tried and arbitrated many cases involving such issues as employment matters, union contract interpretation, contract disputes, harassment, workers’ compensation, OSHA citations, commercial disputes, premises liability, and personal injury. She has also served as legal counsel to court-appointed receivers for large and small receiverships.
Renisa frequently lectures on topics pertaining to labor and employment law, dispute resolution, and litigation and has been a presenter at the Ohio Common Pleas Judges’ Association. She is also a Master of the Bench in the American Inns of Court, Morrison R. Waite Chapter.
In 2013, the Supreme Court of Ohio appointed Renisa to serve on the
Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law. She has also served many
non-profit boards and is currently serving on the ProMedica Flower
Hospital Board of Trustees.
Renisa is a proud graduate of Napoleon High School and graduated from Defiance College with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1985. She obtained her law degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1988.

Grievance Arbitration

Spengler Nathanson’s attorneys review employer safety practices to assure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act. We also advise employers regarding OSHA inspections and other dealings with OSHA compliance officers, and hazard abatement, to ensure both worker safety and, wherever possible, the avoidance of fines and enforcement actions.
